It's a Norny Life - Chapter Seven

Back

Anna turned around quickly, only to find Jenny standing right behind her. They both sighed simultaniously, and breathed deep, innocent breaths out into, what now seemed, fresh and serene air.

"Ohh... I was so afraid!" said Anna, with her back pack slightly slipping off of her shoulder.

"Ha!' replied Jenny, "I was even worse then you! I was about to haul out and yell 'I WANT MY NORNYYYY!!!!!'" (Of course 'Norny' means Mommy in norn language)

"Well," said Anna, laughing, "Is that so... ???"

"Well, that is 'rawther' funny..." said Jenny stuck in an odd laugh sounding MUCH like the squeals of a pig, or a donkey.

"I suppose we should move on now." said Anna, with a deep reluctant sigh. They tippy-toed further, and went up the lift where she knew that her mother should be. "HELLO!!" said a loud, sharp, and joyful voice. The voice happened to be coming from an odd Purple Mountain Norn!

"Who are you? Is mother alive?" said Anna. Jenny and Anna looked at each other surprised. The Mountain Norn's eye browse rose, and he said, calmly looking down at the dusty ground. He looked up, and said with a rather sharp and very quiet voice, chewing his lower lip with his sharp, gruesom teeth and looking up ominously at the two norns, as if he were going to run at them any minute like a wild bull,

"We have no time to talk! You must follow me quickly, but quietly, and never touch your yoyo again for today!"

"But- but!" said Anna, unwilling to stay without her yoyo all day. "My precious!" said Anna in a sharp and quiet mumbling type of voice, "They can not harm you my precious! They can not take you--!"

"STOP! STOP I comand you!" said the Mountain Norn, "Stop now! If yousay 'my precious ONE more time, I am sure you will deeply regret it!" ,p> "Oh. I am so sorry! I don't know what came over me!" said Anna, "I was acting like a blazing devil!" "What is your name?" said Anna.

"My name has no meaning... No name, no pleasure... My name only matters to me. MY NAME, Anna, is Norndalf. I am the wizard of Albia, the nicest, but I am afraid not the smartest. You may live in peace for now, in your normal habitat, but when I have more news of the enemy, I will be back, and you must go from your serene home! We have no time to speak. I am afraid the dark grendel forces are sensing us far to much all in this room... but, I am sad to say, it WILL get worse! That will be all! And I must go off for now, but trust me, and DO NOT use the yoyo!"

*POOF* Norndalf disapeared! all was silent, and in the midst of the room stood her mother!
